ruán

(1) (俗作壖。 形声。 从土, 耎(ruán)声。 亦作"壖"。 本义: 余地, 隙地)

(2) 河边的空地或田地 [riparian land]

故尽河堧弃地, 民茭牧其中耳。 --《汉书》
